The "Effective Fight Against Marine Debris Awareness Plan Training," organized by Bartın University Health Services Vocational School, was successfully completed with the participation of students and university staff.

The event, held at Ağdacı Conference Hall on April 8, 2026, at 2 PM, addressed the environmental impacts of marine debris and methods that can be applied to combat this problem. Dr. Niyazi Erdem Delikanlı, who conducted the training, emphasized that marine pollution threatens not only ecosystems but also human health and economic sustainability. The program provided participants with important information on the conscious use of natural resources, waste management, and increasing individual awareness. Information was also provided on the Bartın Provincial Action Plan for Marine Debris for the period 2025-2029.

The event, which attracted significant interest, concluded with questions from participants and an exchange of views. University officials stated that such activities aimed at increasing environmental awareness will continue in the future.
