As part of World Diabetes Day, an event titled “Education and Integrated Care in Diabetes” was held.

Diabetes, a rapidly increasing health concern worldwide, is more than just a physiological condition; it is a chronic issue that significantly impacts individuals' quality of life, requiring continuous care and management. In this context, combining education and integrated care approaches is essential for achieving meaningful and sustainable outcomes in diabetes management. Diabetes education not only equips patients with knowledge but also empowers them to cope with the challenges they encounter in daily life.

Integrated care, on the other hand, adopts a multidisciplinary approach, bringing together various healthcare professionals to address patients' physical and emotional needs holistically. This approach enhances patients’ ability to take control of their treatment process while also improving the efficiency of the healthcare system. By focusing on patient-centered practices, integrated care improves quality of life, reduces complications, and enhances treatment adherence in individuals living with diabetes.

The event, moderated by Prof. Dr. Ayfer BAYINDIR ÇEVİK, featured Prof. Dr. Nermin OLGUN, President of the Turkish Diabetes Nursing Association, as a distinguished speaker who has made significant contributions to the field of diabetes. Following the Q&A session, where Prof. Nermin OLGUN addressed questions from both the moderator and attendees, a certificate of appreciation was presented to her, marking the conclusion of the event.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Dr. Nermin OLGUN for her invaluable support and to all our esteemed participants for their contributions to the event.
