Awareness Training on Child Developmental Periods at ŞÖNİM

A significant training activity on child development was carried out at the Violence Prevention and Monitoring Center affiliated with the Bartın Family and Social Policies Directorate. The training given by Dr. Lecturer Aylin Kurt, faculty member of the Department of Child Health and Disease Nursing, Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, Bartın University, addressed the subject of “Risks and Approaches According to Child Developmental Periods”.

Dr. Kurt, an expert academician in her field, shared the physical, emotional and social risk factors specific to children’s developmental periods with the participants during the training. Drawing attention to the importance of protective and preventive approaches towards children, Kurt particularly emphasized the impact of early intervention and professional support mechanisms.

ŞÖNİM personnel, social workers, psychologists, teachers and representatives of relevant public institutions showed great interest in the training. Participants stated that they became more conscious and equipped about the problems that children may encounter in different developmental stages at the end of the training.

Bartın Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Policies officials stated that such trainings will continue and emphasized the importance of cooperation between institutions for the healthy development and protection of children.
