Bartın University Faculty of Health Sciences Nursing Department and Bartın University Addiction Prevention Office have added another initiative to their social contribution activities in the field of addiction prevention.

Within the scope of the Bartın Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services' 2026 Provincial In-Service Training Plan, an in-service training on "Intervention Methods and Approaches for Addicted Individuals" was organized for professionals working in institutions affiliated with the Provincial Directorate.

The training was conducted by Assoc. Dr. Hilal Uysal, a faculty member of the Internal Medicine Nursing Department of Bartın University Faculty of Health Sciences Nursing Department and a member of Bartın University Addiction Prevention Office, on June 25, 2026. The training provided participants with information on the concept of addiction, risk factors affecting the development of addiction, intervention methods for addicted individuals and their families, and current approaches and practices. During the training, participants actively engaged with the subject through case studies and shared practical knowledge. At the end of the training, participants stated that the training content was useful and contributing to their professional practices and expressed their satisfaction with the training. At the end of the program, the Bartın Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services presented a certificate of appreciation to Assoc. Dr. Hilal Uysal, who conducted the training, and the event concluded with a group photo session with the participants.
