Bartın University Faculty of Health Sciences Nursing Department Students Volunteered to Heal the Wounds of Earthquake Victims.

Bartın University Faculty of Health Sciences Nursing Department students volunteered to support earthquake victims to heal their wounds within the scope of Volunteering and Social Responsibility project course.

The earthquake disaster, which took place in 10 provinces on 06.02.2023, brought along situations such as injury, disability, death, homelessness, and living in public areas. Bartın University Faculty of Health Sciences Nursing Department students, 1000 colorful and ornamented lice buckles for women and girls, 1000 breastfeeding aprons for pregnant and postpartum women, 850 identification bracelets for individuals with disabilities and Alzheimer's disease, children who are at play age have fun with materials at home. and 720 natural play dough, 250 disposable slippers and 120 masks to protect from dust.

The lice buckle, breastfeeding apron, play dough and descriptive bracelet made by the students of the Nursing Department were sent to the epicenter of the earthquake, Kahramanmaraş, through the Bartın Province Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation, to be delivered to the earthquake victims. We would like to thank the Contact Association for their support in the procurement of the fabrics of the nursing gowns.
