Disaster awareness training was organized for students of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Bartın University. The training, held on April 13, 2026, in the Conference Hall of the Ağdacı Campus, was given by AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency) personnel.
The program, which started at 10:30 AM, shared comprehensive information about what to do before, during, and after a disaster. Participants were informed about the precautions that can be taken against types of disasters such as earthquakes, floods, and fires, correct behaviors, and individual preparation processes. The training also focused on panic management, safe evacuation methods, and the importance of first aid during a disaster. The program, which attracted great interest from the students, ended with a question-and-answer session.
Bartın University officials stated that such trainings are of great importance in increasing disaster awareness and strengthening social awareness, and that similar events will continue.
