The graduates of the Nursing Department of Bartın University's Faculty of Health Sciences for the 2025-2026 academic year took their first steps into the nursing profession with a swearing-in ceremony. The ceremony, attended by a large number of students, their families, academic staff, and guests, was filled with moments of pride and excitement. At the ceremony, our dear student Eda Nur TATLIOĞLU, who tragically passed away in a traffic accident, was remembered with love and longing.

The ceremony, which began with a moment of silence followed by the recitation of the Turkish National Anthem, was attended by Bartın University Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Yafes YILDIZ, Prof. Dr. Zafer CEYLAN and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cengiz Karaismailoğlu, as well as Bartın Provincial Health Directorate Health Services Head Dr. Gökhan BEDİR and Bartın State Hospital Health Care Services Manager Engin BULUT.

In the program, Bartın University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cengiz Karaismailoğlu, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Elif Karahan, and Head of the Nursing Department Prof. Dr. Ayfer Bayındır Çevik delivered opening speeches. The speeches highlighted the nursing profession's need for knowledge, conscience, self-sacrifice, and love for humanity, emphasizing the importance of conducting the profession in accordance with ethical values.

Our top-ranking students in the Nursing Department; first place Buket BAKIR, second place Evran SEZEN, and third place Berna ÇETİN, were invited to the stage and presented with plaques of achievement. The emotional speech of our top student and the traditional ceremony of placing a name plaque on the graduation register with her family were among the most meaningful moments of the ceremony. These special moments, followed with great interest by the participants, brought together feelings of pride and happiness.

At the ceremony, 107 graduating students experienced the joy of receiving their diplomas from their instructors after a long and arduous four-year education. Following this, the 2026 graduates recited the Nursing Oath together, vowing to uphold ethical principles, respect for humanity, and a commitment to service to society throughout their professional lives. The program concluded with the cap-throwing ceremony, where the graduating students joyfully threw their caps into the air. In this ceremony, which was unforgettable for both students and their families, the young nurses began their professional journeys with hope, excitement, and a great sense of responsibility.
