Graduates of the Department of Nursing of our Faculty took a profession oath by reading the Nursing Oath

The ceremony began with a moment of silence and the National Anthem. During the ceremony, Nazlı KAYHAN, the valedictorian of the Nursing Department, delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates. She mentioned that throughout their education, they adopted project-based learning, and despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the earthquake described as the disaster of the century, their right to education continued uninterrupted in all conditions. She expressed her gratitude to her professors, friends, and family for their support during this period. Following this, our Faculty Dean, Prof. Dr. Sevim ÇELİK, gave a speech. In her address, she emphasized that Bartın University produces graduates who embrace the mission and vision of the university, contribute universally to society, science, art, and culture, love their country and nation, and uphold and appreciate societal values. She expressed her full belief that our graduates will continue to serve humanity under all conditions, both ordinary and extraordinary, and will swiftly climb the career ladder after graduation. In his speech, University Rector Prof. Dr. Orhan UZUN highlighted that the nursing students developed their professional knowledge and skills through the projects, practices, and studies they conducted during their education. He also emphasized that students gained a high level of social responsibility awareness and reiterated our commitment to adding value to the Century of Turkey and achieving together. After the speeches, valedictorian Nazlı KAYHAN hammered a plaque with her name into the Faculty's first-place log in the presence of her family. Then, the top-ranking graduates from the Nursing Department received plaques and certificates of achievement from University Rector Prof. Dr. Orhan UZUN, Vice-Rector and Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Sevim ÇELİK, and Refik AKMAZ, a member of the Board of Bartın Private AKTIP Hospital. All graduating students were awarded certificates of congratulations by protocol members and academic staff. The graduating students recited the Nursing Oath, led by Dr. Burcu KÜÇÜKKAYA, Acting Head of the Nursing Department. The oath ceremony concluded with congratulations to the graduates.
