Mobile Tools in the Fight Against Breast Cancer” Event Held at Bartın University
Bartın University Faculty of Health Sciences organized an event titled “Mobile Tools in the Fight Against Breast Cancer” on October 15, 2025 (Wednesday) between 1:30 PM and 2:30 PM, aiming to raise awareness about breast cancer and highlight the role of digital technologies in healthcare.
The event was moderated by Lect. Dr. Ebru Cirban EKREM and featured Prof. Dr. Şengül YAMAN SÖZBİR from Gazi University Faculty of Nursing, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing, as the guest speaker. During the session, the speakers discussed the contribution of mobile health technologies to early diagnosis, awareness, and patient follow-up in breast cancer.
Prof. Dr. Şengül Yaman Sözbir emphasized that mobile technologies empower women to monitor their own health and underlined the guiding role of nurses in this process. Participants gained insights into how mobile tools support public health and breast cancer prevention based on current scientific evidence. The event concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session.
