Nursing Week Celebrated with an Event Themed “Inspire, Innovate, Influence”

An event themed “Inspire, Innovate, Influence” was held at our university due to the 12-18 May Nursing Week.
The panel organized by the Department of Nursing of the Faculty of Health Sciences of our university at the Kutlubey Campus Library Conference Hall attracted great attention. Making the opening speech of the event, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Assoc. Dr. Elif Karahan made her presentation titled “Nurses: A Leading Voice- Invest in Nursing to Secure Global Health and Respect Their Rights” in line with the ICN theme of 2022. In his speech, Karahan emphasized the importance of investing in nursing for global health and respecting its rights.
The panel was moderated by by Assoc. Dr. Ayfer Bayındır Çevik in Our University Faculty of Health Sciences Faculty; Sakarya University of Applied Sciences Faculty of Health Sciences Lecturer Prof. Dr. Yurdanur Dikmen, “Creating a Professional Vision in the Postmodern World: Recognize Competencies”, from the Faculty of Health Sciences of our University, Dr. Instructor Member Elif Şimşek gave information on “Feel Your Power to Succeed” and Msn Nurse Betül Akkoç from Bartın State Hospital “Crowning Motivation, Strength and Knowledge in Nursing with Experience”.
İrem Albayrak, a student at our University's Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Nursing, gave her suggestions on what should be done for the development of nursing from the perspective of student nurses with her speech titled "Your Tracking, Our Way".
The panel ended with the “A Look at Nursing: Photo Show” after the music concert.
