The seminar titled "Career and Social Media Management in Nursing" held at Bartın University received great interest.



Organized by the Student Orientation and Career Unit under the Department of Nursing at Bartın University Faculty of Health Sciences, the seminar took place on May 26, 2026, and attracted significant attention. The speaker was Nurse Orhan OCAK, known for his professional experience in the nursing field and his active presence on social media.
During the seminar, Orhan OCAK shared in-depth insights on topics such as career planning in nursing, advancement opportunities in academic and clinical settings, nursing opportunities abroad, skills required for working in challenging units, and the current state of nursing in Turkey. He also discussed the role and impact of social media in the nursing profession, providing valuable tips on how to effectively use social media for health communication and raising awareness.
OCAK also talked about the impact of his social media platform “Nurse Turkey”, and motivated the participants by providing information on scholarship opportunities and social responsibility projects aimed at nursing students. Throughout his presentation, he shared real-life field experiences, especially focusing on his observations in emergency services, oncology, and intensive care nursing, thereby enhancing professional awareness.
At the end of the event, Orhan OCAK answered students’ questions and emphasized the importance of setting goals, gaining professional competencies, and fostering solidarity within the profession in one's career journey. The participants expressed their satisfaction with the seminar, which was enriched by both professional insights and a social media perspective.
