The Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, Bartın University, began the 2025-2026 Academic Year with a "Beginning of Term Evaluation Meeting." The meeting, held at the Ağdacı Conference Hall on September 29, 2025, took place from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. At the meeting, attended by academic staff and students, plans and goals for the new academic year were discussed. At the opening of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Ayfer Bayindir Çevık, Department Head of the Nursing Department, addressed the contributions of the experiences gained from the previous semester to the new semester. The strengths of the curriculum and areas for improvement were evaluated, and the importance of active student participation in classes, advising processes, and internship practices were particularly emphasized. Participants discussed the effectiveness of the methods used in both theoretical and practical courses and proposed strategies for improving quality. They presented recommendations. The meeting also addressed the operation of healthcare internship programs, focusing on the diversity and continuity of practice areas that will support students' professional development. Information was provided regarding the theoretical and practical exams to be held during the midterm period, and additional measures that could be taken to enhance students' academic success were also discussed.
