'Women's Health Symposium' Was Held With Broad Participation

The "Women's Health Symposium" organized by the Faculty of Health Sciences of our university on the occasion of March 8, International Women's Day was held with an intense participation.
The "Women's Health Symposium" held online by the Faculty of Health Sciences of our university was completed with an intense participation. March 8, International Women's Day due to the activities carried out in 50 different cities of Turkey and Northern Cyprus Turkish Republic took place with participants from Greece. At the symposium, information was given on the protection and improvement of women's health with different viewpoints, and views were exchanged over current discussions.

Our University Rector Prof. Dr. Orhan Uzun congratulated all women on March 8, International Women's Day and said, “As Bartın University, I would like to state that we stand against all kinds of violence and discrimination against women. We strive to further strengthen the position of women in society with the work we do at our university. I see the symposium held today as an important scientific event held in this direction. "Women's education, information, empowerment, health protection and development also means the health, development and progress of our children, our family, and therefore the whole society, who are our future."

6 different conferences and evaluation meetings were held in the symposium that continued throughout the day. In this context, Ege University Nursing Faculty Lecturer Assoc. Dr. Sezer Er Güneri “Women in Social Structure and Their Reflections on Health”, Aydın Adnan Menderes University Nursing Faculty Lecturer Prof. Dr. Sevgi Özsoy "Women's Health Protective Behaviors" and Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Florece Nightingale Faculty of Nursing Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Ergül Aslan made his speech titled “The Common Problem in Women: Urinary Incontinence”.
In the afternoon part of the symposium, our University Health Services Vocational School Director Dr. Lecturer Hacer Yalnız Dilcen "Substance Use Disorder in Women", Dean of the Faculty of Health of our University Prof. Dr. Sevim Çelik "Ways to Prevent Breast Cancer" and Ege University Nursing Faculty Lecturer Prof. Dr. Gül Ertem gave the conference titled “Healthy Life for Disabled Women and Girls”.

Making the closing speech of the symposium, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences of our University, President of the Symposium Prof. Dr. Sevim Çelik said, “If the woman is healthy, the society is healthy. Conferences were given by our esteemed academicians at the symposium held with this understanding. Efforts were made to raise awareness for the protection and improvement of women's health.
