World Social Work Day "Buen Vivir: Transformative Change for a Common Future" Panel was organized
"World Social Work Day" is celebrated every year in the 3rd week of March. This year, on March 18, 2024, Bartın University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Social Work organized the World Social Work Day "Buen Vivir: A Transformative Change for a Common Future" Panel was organized.
Social Worker Çağrı ADEMOĞLU from the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, Social Worker Umut Çağla YILMAZ from the Violence Prevention and Monitoring Center and Lecturer from Bartın University Vocational School Lecturer Dr. Yunus BAYRAM participated.
Valuable presentations were made on how and how social work practices are transforming in the world and in Turkey, which we experience differentiating day by day, changes in legislation in Turkey on the basis of women's rights, their reflections on the services provided, the place of the existentialist approach in social work intervention, being yourself as a social worker and achieving authenticity.
After the panel, videos and posters prepared by Social Work students were watched. The panel session, which was both informative and entertaining, was concluded with questions and answers.
