It is celebrated as the National Midwifery Week on April 21-28. The most important guarantee of a country's peace, happiness and future is its health. A healthy society is made up of healthy individuals. Midwifery, one of the oldest professions in history, has a very important place in the formation of a healthy individual, family and society. Midwives are the health advisors of women, family and society. They contribute to the formation of healthy generations by educating them before birth and after birth. The time of a baby born is a very special moment and midwifery care for women as a professional. It has been very meaningful to declare 2020 as 'Midwife and Nurse Year' because of the contributions of Florence Nightingale to the nursing field and the 200th anniversary of its birth. Since the beginning of 2020, all healthcare professionals have been working hard, like soldiers trying to save us from the world epidemic. Congratulations to all midwives of our midwives who work devotedly, day and night, in the process of COVID 19 outbreak.
