The First Aid Training Center at Bartın University (BARU) was put into service in order to provide trainings within the scope of practices aimed at saving lives or minimizing possible dangers. In the center authorized by the Bartın Provincial Health Directorate, expert academics working in the BARU Faculty of Health Sciences will give trainings.

Those who successfully complete the first aid and first aid update training at the center will be able to obtain a "First Aid Authorization Certificate" and "First Aid Identity Card" with a validity period of three years, which will be approved by the Provincial Health Directorate after the exam they will take. In the center, personnel working in many fields such as driving courses, private schools, public and private sectors will be able to participate in the training, as well as those who will work in workplaces where it is mandatory to have first aiders within the scope of Occupational Health and Safety.

Stating that the First Aid Training Center is designed in a structure that will serve the region, BARU Faculty of Health Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Sevim Çelik said, “Earthquakes, which are described as the disaster of the century and affect our country deeply in every aspect, have once again demonstrated the importance of first aid practices in the struggle to save lives. In addition, we may encounter situations that require first aid at every moment of our daily and business life. First aid can lead to dangerous results when applied by people who are not trained in this regard. With the First Aid Training Center, we aim to raise awareness and provide vital training on correct intervention. Thanks to our Rector Prof. Dr. Orhan Uzun and our Provincial Health Director Dr. I would like to thank Mr. Alpaslan Erol”.

Stating that the center that has been put into service will fulfill a very important responsibility, BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Orhan Uzun said, “As Bartın University, we make great efforts to train well-equipped health professionals within the Faculty of Health Sciences and Vocational School of Health Services. With the First Aid Training Center, which was established with an organization that adds value to these efforts, our academic human resources who are competent in their fields will convey their experiences and provide training on a vital issue. For his contributions in this direction, our Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. To Ms. Sevim Çelik, Our Provincial Health Director Dr. I would like to thank Mr. Alpaslan Erol and everyone who contributed.”
