A Seminar on “War, Women and Children's Rights” was Held for Our University Students

Our University's internationalization goals are listed as follows: “To ensure that students and staff participate in international mobility and academic visits, to enable them to gain new knowledge and experience, to make the university a center of attraction in terms of international student and staff mobility, to carry out joint projects and scientific research with higher education institutions with high level of international recognition and scientific capacity, to enable students and staff to participate in international mobility and academic visits, to increase the cultural awareness of its personnel and to ensure its active participation in local and international society and decision-making processes.” In this context, the aim of the Erasmus+ KA171 project, written by our faculty, coordinated by the General Coordination Office of Foreign Relations, and mutually signed with Kenyatta University, is to ensure that students and staff achieve significant gains in their professional careers with the theme of women's rights in maternity services. In this context, the seminar titled "War, Women, and Children's Rights" organized for our university students by the Erasmus Commission of our Faculty, was held on November 28, 2023. The event was moderated by Asst. Prof. Burcu KÜÇÜKKAYA, and the event began with a presentation by Kenyatta University Lect. Dr. Sarah Tai-Bett shared important information about the impact of war on women's and children's rights and maternity services. The event, which attracted great interest from our students, ended with answering questions about war, women's rights, and children's rights.
